SVARNADESIGN is a custom sofa maker since 2012, founded by young Indonesian designers & a group of talented craftsmen & tailors. We have provided premium quality upholstered furniture for many residential & public spaces. As it might be translated easily in our design language, Svarna tries to deliver comfort and every essentials that come with it, such as family, love, home, serenity, solitude and happiness.

Sheila Lubis and Ryan Salim, former college friends who both share a pursuit in interior and product design while studying in Milan, Italy. With experience gained from working together, they decided to combine their expertise and passion to create something of their own.
In 2012, Sheila founded SVARNA, starting the workshop with humble beginnings but fueled by a deep passion for upholstered furniture, and her fundamentals and comprehensive understanding of fabrics and materials. The business steadily grew, and in 2019, Ryan joined the company as they expand. With his focus on finance and business development, Ryan played a pivotal role in steering SVARNA towards further success and expansion. Together, they continue to drive SVARNA forward, offering exquisite upholstered furniture crafted with precision and care.

Based in two locations, West Jakarta and Jepara, Central Java, we collaborate with a skilled and experienced group of furniture craftsmen. Many of these artisans boast decades of experience, some spanning up to 30 years in the field. Upholding the tradition of crafting the finest upholstered furniture in Indonesia by hand, we honor the legacy passed down through generations. Our commitment lies in preserving this invaluable knowledge of handcrafted methodology.
We take pride in seamlessly blending modern design and production techniques with this time-honored tradition. This fusion allows us to produce products that are not only contemporary but also uphold the highest standards of quality and meticulous attention to detail.
